About Me

Hey, I’m Emily.

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re currently hiding in a pantry to finish an email or trying to type one-handed while a toddler uses your leg as a climbing wall.

I get it. I’m right there with you.

I’m a Senior Product Quality Lead for a tech startup, which basically means I get paid to find out why things break and how to make them better. I’ve always been the “tech friend”—the one everyone texts when their laptop dies or when they need to know which headphones actually block out a noisy neighbor.

But everything changed when I had my son, Reve.

Suddenly, my high-tech life met my high-chaos reality. I quickly realized that most “Work From Home” experts don’t have a three-year-old trying to feed crackers into their disk drive. The advice out there felt too clinical, too “perfect,” and honestly, a little exhausting.

I started RemoteMommy.com because I wanted a space that felt real. I didn’t want a sterile office tour; I wanted to know which standing desk is sturdy enough to not wobble during a tantrum and which AI tools can actually help me claw back two hours of my day so I can go to the park with Reve.

What I’m doing here

I’m obsessed with finding gear and workflows that make the remote life easier, not more complicated. On this site, I’m sharing “The Edit”—a curated look at the stuff that actually survives my life.

  • The Stealth Office: I love design, but I hate clutter. I’m always looking for furniture that hides the “work” so my home still feels like a home at 5:00 PM.
  • The Reve Test: If a piece of tech is fragile, it’s not for us. I put products through real-life stress tests to see if they’re actually parent-proof.
  • Smart Productivity: I’m a huge fan of using tools like Gemini to handle the boring stuff. If I can automate a task, I’m doing it, and I’ll show you how too.

Let’s be real for a second

I love my career and I’m damn good at it, but my house is rarely “Instagram-perfect.” There’s usually a cold cup of coffee on my desk and a stray Lego under my chair.

I’m not a “perfect” mom or a “perfect” executive. I’m just a woman trying to design a life where I can be both without losing my mind.

I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s figure out how to make this remote thing work for us, one gadget at a time.
